Dr David Roth

David undertook his Doctoral studies in Child & Educational psychology at University of East London.  He has worked extensively with culturally diverse families. Is chartered with the British Psychological Society & registered with the Health Care Professions Council. Has particular interest and experience in the following areas:

  • Cognitive, learning, social-emotional & behavioural assessment and intervention
  • Working with parents and / or school staff – training and planning interventions (e.g. facilitating positive behaviour / classroom management; effective communication skills)
  • Anxieties & Trauma (applying CBT & EMDR therapy)
  • Legal work (including Special Educational Needs Tribunals)

 

Laurel Freedman …………

Laurel qualified as an educational psychologist in 1996 and has worked in both the public and voluntary sectors with children and families from a range of cultural backgrounds.   She also spent 5 years on a secondment to the Tavistock Centre, working as a part-time course tutor on the Doctorate for Child, Community and Educational Psychology.  She is chartered with the British Psychological Society & registered with the Health Care Professions Council.  Her particular areas of interest and specialism are:

  • consultation and assessment to support families and school staff in understanding and addressing the learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs of children and young people
  • school support, including training/workshops for staff and individual coaching and mentoring
  • visual impairment
  • early years
