Intervention

In the interest of facilitating effective change, as educational psychologists, we are committed to recommending a holistic approach which can embrace the different dimensions of your child’s development.

The intervention may consist of:

  • a recommended support-plan to be carried out at home or school to meet child's educational/developmental needs
  • referring parents to the relevant professional who specialises in treating the identified area
  • short-brief therapeutic sessions with the child/adolescent which might address their negative self-image, anxieties, mild depression, anger management and problem-solving skills. Sessions typically draw from Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitising & Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as Personal Construct Psychology
